Best of 2017: Brunch Spots in Taipei
As you guys know, Tieneke and I love ourselves a good brunch. We basically plan our weekends around where we are going to eat, and always try to find new places that will offer us a scrumptious meal and a good latte. This year, we definitely ate our way around Taipei and discovered some amazing eateries that we've shared with you here on A Style Alike. As we're approaching the end of 2017, we decided on reflecting on some of our favorite spots for brunch in the city, and the ones we always recommend to friends. Even though there really are a lot of great places, we've narrowed it down to our absolute favorite ones of the past year.
We really can't get enough of Sugar Pea. It's the number one place we always recommend to everyone who asks us where they should go eat in Taipei. Their menu is incredible, the location is beautiful and the service is excellent! You absolutely can't go wrong. Read all about Sugar Pea here.
Toasteria Cafe has always been a favorite among Taipei eaters, with their out-of-this-world toasted sandwiches. We especially love the Yongkang location, as the restaurant has four floors of beautifully designed interiors and an extensive menu. It's such a good spot for a bigger group, too. The Antipodean might feel a bit far to get to, but it's totally worth the "journey". Another spot that we also always recommend to our friends, is this restaurant, specializing in breakfast foods like acai bowls, avocado toast and some of the best coffees in town. Brunch at The Kitchen Table is not just a brunch, it's an experience. It's perfect for a big group, and you can grab a table indoors or outside by the pool. This brunch is a seafood lover's dream, and for a little extra, you can enjoy bottomless sparkling wine. Read more about The Kitchen Table here.
We always enjoy eating at URBN Culture, as they offer delicious and interesting vegetarian and vegan dishes. This space is also nice, with lots of big tables and huge windows that lets in plenty of sunshine and a view of the pretty green trees outside. They also have a bar offering craft beers, and an outside seating area. Read more about URBN Culture here.
