Liesl's Nursery Reveal | Bohemian, Soft & Neutral
I believe most expectant mommas will tell you that getting the baby's nursery set up before their arrival into the world is one of the best parts of pregnancy (that, and always getting a seat on public transportation!). Pinning ALL that beautiful nursery inspiration on Pinterest, buying cute items, decorating, and imagining being in there with your little one is so exciting and special, and ties in well with that overwhelming need to "nest".
Like most apartments in Taiwan, we unfortunately did not have plenty of space for a nursery; we decided on a more functional and sensible "baby corner" in one of our rooms. All we really needed for our "baby corner" was a dresser (that serves as the changing table and storage unit for baby's things), a crib, and a nice soft rug. We also have a bassinet, which will be in our bedroom where the baby will be sleeping for at least the first six months.
To give our "baby corner" a little more personality, we put up a mirror and shelves on the wall, added some decorative items, books and toys, and also got a few baskets for laundry and more storage. I didn't have a specific theme in mind, but found myself gravitating towards a calm, neutral boho aesthetic. (I also got LOTS of inspiration from Tieneke's beautiful nursery for baby Sebastian, which you can see here.)
I've included links to where you can purchase all the items in our nursery (which was mostly from Ikea, some local online shops in Taiwan, and also a few international stores.) Please let me know if you have questions about any of the items, or if there's something I forgot to link.
